The Pocketalker Pro is a small personal amplifier used for one-on-one conversations and TV listening. Personal amplifiers are valuable assistive listening devices. If you have a hearing loss, give them a try. Because they reduce background noise, personal amplifiers help you hear in noisy situations such as automobiles and restaurants. The Pocketalker Pro has a 20dB high frequency boost, 25dB high volume output, and an internal tone and gain control that can be adjusted by your audiologist to match your hearing ability.

The PockeTalker Pro is the older model. The newest model is the PockeTalker Ultra (see separate Product Summary). When we recommend the PockeTalker Pro:  The Pro has a single volume wheel located on the top and is preferred for someone with dexterity issues. The multiple controls on the Ultra can be confusing to some people and are located on the sides of the system. So the simplicity of the Pro can meet the needs of many people.

You can use a Radio Shack phone connector that connects your Pocketalker Pro to the telephone. Now the Pocketalker amplifies the call and also gives you the option of listening with both ears instead of one. To listen with both ears, just choose listening options such as a neckloop, headphones, or dual mini earbuds or earphone. This is an ideal solution if your current telephone does not have sufficient amplification or an audio output jack. You must still talk into the handset even though you are listening through the headphones, etc.
